Winter is coming… And for hundreds of street dogs across Kuşadası, this is the hardest time of the year. When the tourists go home and the hotels close their doors, so does their source of food and care.
In summer people notice them, they feed them, show kindness. We receive many calls every week, from caring locals and tourists who notice a sick or starving dog, who buy a meal or who reach out for help. But in winter, no one keeps an eye on them. Especially on the edges of Kuşadası, the beaches and hills become empty… and the dogs are left to survive alone.
Feed a furry friend this winter
That’s why ARK is launching the Winter Dog Feeding Program. A promise to not forget those who have no one else. From November through March, our volunteers will go out to feed the street dogs, ensuring they have food, water and warmth to make it through the cold months.
We’ll deliver food to feeding spots across the region and work together with Bereket (opposite the cemetery) and EM Petshop (on Kirazlı Road). These two pet shops are our official partners for the Winter Feeding Program. Anyone who wants to help can buy a bag of dry food there to donate directly to ARK. These two petshops helps us coordinate pickups and deliveries more efficiently.
Donations and volunteering
Every donation; whether it’s a few lira, a bag of dry food or an hour of your time, helps us keep them safe. You can:
🐾 Donate via arktr.org – your gift helps us buy food and feeding supplies.
🐾 Buy food from any local pet shop and drop it off for our volunteers to collect.
🐾 Volunteer to join our feeding routes and help care for the dogs directly.
Feeding bowls & blankets
We’re also collecting feeding bowls, blankets, and waterproof containers to make feeding easier and more consistent across Kuşadası and surrounding areas. If you have any of these items at home or would like to buy and donate them, our volunteers will make sure they go directly to where they’re needed most.
This is a big challenge, but together, we can make a big difference. Because no dog in Kuşadası should go hungry this winter. Even in the coldest months, love keeps them warm. 💛
Köpek Besleme Programı – Kış 2025–2026
Kış yaklaşıyor… Ve Kuşadası genelinde yüzlerce sokak köpeği için bu, yılın en zor zamanı. Turistler evlerine döndüğünde ve oteller kapılarını kapattığında, onların yiyecek ve bakım kaynakları da ortadan kayboluyor.
Yaz aylarında insanlar onları fark eder; besler, şefkat gösterir. Her hafta, hasta ya da aç bir köpeği fark eden, ona yemek alan veya yardım isteyen duyarlı yerel halktan ve turistlerden birçok telefon alıyoruz. Ancak kışın kimse onlara göz kulak olmuyor. Özellikle Kuşadası’nın dış bölgelerinde, sahiller ve tepeler bomboş kalıyor… ve köpekler hayatta kalmak için yalnız bırakılıyor.
Bu kış bir patili dostu besle
Bu yüzden ARK olarak Kış Köpek Besleme Programı’nı başlatıyoruz. Kimsenin olmadıklarını unutmamak için verdiğimiz bir söz bu. Kasım ayından Mart ayına kadar gönüllülerimiz sokak köpeklerini beslemek için sahaya çıkacak; soğuk ayları atlatabilmeleri için onlara yiyecek, su ve biraz sıcaklık sağlayacak.
Bölge genelindeki besleme noktalarına mama ulaştıracağız ve Bereket (mezarlığın karşısı) ile EM Petshop (Kirazlı Yolu üzerinde) ile iş birliği yapacağız. Bu iki petshop, Kış Besleme Programımızın resmi iş ortaklarıdır. Destek olmak isteyen herkes, bu mağazalardan bir paket kuru mama satın alarak doğrudan ARK’a bağışlayabilir. Bu petshoplar, mama toplama ve dağıtım sürecini daha verimli şekilde koordine etmemize yardımcı oluyor.
Bağış ve gönüllülük
Yapılan her bağış — ister birkaç lira, ister bir paket mama, isterse zamanınızdan bir saat olsun — onların güvende kalmasına yardımcı olur. Siz de:

Mama kapları & battaniyeler
Ayrıca Kuşadası ve çevresinde beslemeyi daha düzenli ve kolay hale getirmek için mama kapları, battaniyeler ve su geçirmez kaplar topluyoruz. Evinizde bu malzemeler varsa — ya da satın alıp bağışlamak isterseniz — gönüllülerimiz bunları ihtiyaç duyulan yerlere ulaştıracaktır.
Bu büyük bir mücadele, ama birlikte büyük bir fark yaratabiliriz. Çünkü Kuşadası’nda hiçbir köpek bu kış aç kalmamalı. En soğuk aylarda bile, sevgi onları sıcak tutar. 💛
