ARK always needs helping hands for its various projects: from feeding and caring for street animals, to assisting at events or supporting rescues. You can make a difference by volunteering your time, helping animals directly, or supporting us with donations. Every action counts and brings love and care to the animals who need it most.

Cat Catching & Neutering
One of the most important ways we help street cats is through our cat catching and neutering programme. Volunteers assist in safely catching street cats and bringing them to the Neutering Centre, where they are sterilised and receive any necessary medical care. After treatment, the cats are always returned to the exact area where they were found, allowing them to continue living in a familiar environment.
This work is essential in preventing endless litters of kittens, reducing suffering, and improving the overall health of the street cat population. We are always looking for volunteers to help with catching, transporting, and supporting this process. No experience needed, just a willingness to help.
Dog Feeding Programme
ARK runs a dedicated dog feeding programme in areas like Pamucak and the surrounding regions, where many dogs are left without access to food when the season ends and the area becomes quiet. With hotels closed, summer homes empty, and fewer people around, these dogs often have no reliable source of food. Throughout the winter, our volunteers return week after week to provide food, care, and a familiar presence they can trust. And even as the season slowly returns, we continue feeding for the time being and remain attentive to the animals’ welfare all year round.
This programme is only possible thanks to the continued support of donations. EM Petshop (on Kirazlı Road) is our official partner for the Winter Feeding Programme, and anyone who would like to help can buy a bag of dry food there to donate directly to ARK. You can also support by purchasing food from any local pet shop and arranging for our volunteers to collect it, or by joining our feeding routes and helping care for the dogs directly.
In addition, we are collecting feeding bowls, blankets, and waterproof containers to make feeding easier and more consistent across Kuşadası and surrounding areas. If you have any of these items at home — or would like to purchase and donate them — our volunteers will ensure they reach the places where they are needed most.
Fostering
By opening your home temporarily, you give animals the time, care, and safety they need to recover, grow, and find a permanent home.
Medical fostering
Some animals need a quiet, safe place to recover after surgery or during medical treatment. As a medical foster, you care for them until they are strong enough to be released or adopted. ARK can cover all veterinary treatment, food, and related expenses. You can also help by collecting sick or injured animals and bringing them for treatment if the person who found them has no transport..
Fostering until adopted
Many puppies and kittens are found abandoned or without their mother. These little ones need a safe home where they can grow, socialise, and feel loved until they find their forever family. ARK can provide and cover all necessary care, including food, vaccinations, and medical treatment.
Fostering while an owner is located
When a lost pet is found, we always do our best to locate their owner. During this time, a temporary foster home is essential to keep the animal safe and cared for.
